Tamil Nadu Student Joins Ukraine Army in Fighting Against Russia
A family in the state of Tamil Nadu learned Monday that their elder son is a member of the Ukrainian Army and is fighting against Russia. The intelligence reports submitted to the Center and State revealed that a 21-year-old boy from Tamil Nadu joined the Ukrainian Army after he couldn’t join the Indian Army due to his short stature.
According to reports, Sainikhesh Ravichandran is an aerospace engineering student from Subramaniyampalayam in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He moved to Ukraine in 2018 to study at the National Aerospace University in Kharkiv.
The course was supposed to be completed by July 2022. Sainikesh’s joining the Ukrainian army came to light when officials visited his residence to inquire about his whereabouts.
A team of intelligence officers visited his house two days ago to meet his parents and find out the probable reason why their son joined the Ukrainian army.
According to police, Sainikhesh’s parents told the intelligence sleuths he had a passion for the military and armed training. He keeps a lot of pictures of Indian military and officers in his room in Coimbatore, according to his friends. Several days before the war broke out, Sainikhesh’s family says that he told them he had secured a part-time job in a video game development company in Kharkiv.
