Viral Video: Head Constable of Uttar Pradesh Police Suspended for Forcing Himself On Girl
For allegedly engaging in obscene actions with a woman that were captured on video in the state’s Unnao district, the Uttar Pradesh Police has suspended a head constable. According to reports, a video of a man performing lewd activities on a young woman while wearing a UP Police uniform went viral on social media on Monday afternoon.
The police initiated an investigation after the video went viral and found that the man in uniform was Deep Singh, a constable who had been assigned to the case.
The Unnao Superintendent of Police (SP) has suspended Singh with immediate effect and has started departmental proceedings against him in response to the viral video. According to reports, the video, which is two years old, was promoted by the woman herself. The woman reportedly became frustrated with the constable after he repeatedly did this with her while he was assigned to Gangaghat Kotwali. However, it is still unclear why the footage was made public at this time
