Yamuna Expressway likely to be renamed in honour of Atal Bihari Vajpayee

In Uttar Pradesh, the Yamuna Expressway is expected to be renamed after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The renaming will most likely take place on November 25 at the Noida International Airport’s foundation-laying ceremony in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar district. At the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and top BJP leaders are expected to make a formal declaration about the expressway’s renaming.

“The expansion of the airport is in accordance with the Prime Minister’s objective of increased connectivity and a future-ready aviation sector. The state of Uttar Pradesh (UP), which is seeing the development of many new international airports, including the recently inaugurated Kushinagar airport and the under-construction international airport at Ayodhya, has been a special focus of this big ambition “According to a PMO press release.

According to a top BJP leader, “The decision [to rename the highway] was made as a mark of respect for India’s most popular politicians. AB Vajpayee is beloved by all, regardless of political affiliation, and the renaming of the expressway will serve as a reminder to future generations of his achievements.”
