8 new Omicron cases in Maharastra with no international travel history
In Maharashtra, eight new Omicron variant cases have been discovered, seven of which are in Mumbai. One of them hails from Vasai-Virar. None of the sick people have ever travelled internationally. Maharashtra’s total number of deaths has risen to 28.
Omicron is on the rise in India, with fresh cases recorded earlier today in Delhi. The Centre has also mandated a pre-registration RT-PCR test for six major Indian airports that play an important role in linking India to the rest of the world.
