An Indian student has reportedly been shot in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, according to Union Minister VK Singh, days after another student was killed in Russian shelling in Kharkiv. According to the minister, the student was attempting to flee Kyiv and was wounded in the process. He was reportedly returned to the city and is being treated in a hospital.

Earlier this week, an Indian student was murdered in Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine, as he stood outside a grocery store queue. 21-year-old Naveen Shekharappa, a resident of Karnataka, had stepped out to purchase food before boarding the train.
Many of the students who returned home expressed their dissatisfaction with the difficulties they encountered while fleeing Ukraine across the border. Military personnel from Ukraine assaulted and harassed them they stated. Few students who arrived in Assam from the war-torn country on Thursday also reported a similar incident.
