According to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation’s provisional payroll data, 12.73 lakh net subscribers were added in October 2021. The rise in net payroll additions was roughly 10.22% as compared to 11.55 lakh in October 2020.
“The provisional EPFO payroll data released on December 20, 2021 reveals EPFO’s addition of 12.73 lakh net members during the month of October 2021,” according to a labour ministry statement.
According to the release, net payroll additions in October 2021 increased by 10.22% year over year, compared to 11.55 lakh net subscribers added in October 2020.
7.57 lakh new members were enrolled under the EPF and MP Act, 1952 for the first time out of the total 12.73 lakh net subscribers added.
It added that around 5.16 lakh net subscribers left EPFO but rejoined by transferring their PF accumulations from previous to current PF accounts rather than opting for final withdrawal.
