Following Meghalaya, Assam is currently experiencing hailstorms. At roughly 3.45 p.m. today, Guwahati was hit by a tremendous hailstorm. The city was wrapped with a white blanket of hailstones giving a white pearl look. During the Saraswati Puja celebrations in the city, rain and hailstones came to an abrupt halt. Meghalaya and its capital, Shillong, had the same situation yesterday and a few weeks ago. The city of Guwahati was blanketed in a white blanket of hailstones today.
Heavy rainfall, snowfall, and hailstones were expected on the 3rd and 4th of February 2022, as predicted by the IMD, and this is exactly what happened.
