The severe depression that crossed the Odisha coast on Friday evening brought heavy rain to practically all regions of the state, officials said on Saturday. Five people, including four children, died and five others were injured in wall collapse accidents.

While Giri and his wife are receiving care in a nearby hospital, Giri’s daughters passed away in an instant.
Similar to this, a 4-year-old girl was killed when the boundary wall of a school building next to her family’s home in Madhupura village, Baliapala block, Balasore district, when a tree fell on it. Sheikh Ansar’s family was sleeping inside their home when a wall fell on his three children. Samina Khatoon, the daughter of Ansar, was gravely hurt and taken to a nearby hospital, where she passed away.
