Mumbai schools to remain shut till 31st Jan; BMC Chief IS Chahal…
In light of the escalating number of cases of Covid-19 and its new variant Omicron, the BMC Chief has ordered that schools in Mumbai from grades 1 to 8 will be closed until January 31.
The health department, the state government, and the BMC are taking proper safeguards and precautions, according to the civic body, in light of Mumbai’s international connectivity and population.
As the threat of Covid-19, Omicron grows, state governments have begun closing schools once more to prevent the virus from spreading. Covid-19 has been detected at a number of schools and universities.
