A 24-year-old pregnant lady was allegedly gang-raped and left unconscious at Patna Junction in Bihar. According to sources, a complaint has been filed against three defendants, and two of them, Vishal and Ankit, have already been arrested.
The woman was out for a walk near her home on Saturday night when she was attacked by two local youths who were misbehaving with her. They carried her to a nearby field with her lips covered. The two males allegedly called another individual, and the three of them allegedly raped her one by one.
When she protested, they allegedly assaulted her physically. They escaped by leaving her unconscious on a railway track.
When the woman regained consciousness, she made a noise, alerting the arrival of the government railway police (GRP). According to station head Kishori Sahchari, the victim was then taken to the women’s police station.
The woman has been examined by a doctor, and the police have taken down her statement. On Monday, her statement was recorded in court.
The police are currently on the lookout for the third suspect, and an investigation is ongoing.
