The Bodyguard of Former President Ashraf Ghani said he saw the Afghan President escape with millions; Afghanistan

In August 2021, the Taliban grabbed control of Afghanistan, and the country’s president departed the scene, leaving the country in even worse shape.

When his bodyguard came out against him recently, speculation erupted against the former President of Afghanistan.

“I saw the Afghan President escape with millions,” claims Brigadier General Piraz Ata Sharifi, the bodyguard of former Afghan leader Ashraf Ghani, adding that the latter left him to hide in squalid cellars after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in August, the Daily Mail reported.

The general has proof in the form of palace CCTV footage, according to the Brigadier General, who also stated that if he can get out of Afghanistan, he will share it.

According to the story, the General’s fear of being apprehended is heightened by the fact that the search is being supervised by the new Taliban government’s most vicious member.

One of the General’s brothers has already been identified and fatally slain in the street.

“We were waiting for the president there,” the General recalled the events that led to Ghani’s exit. Then I got a phone saying that the President had gone to the airport instead of coming to the Defense Ministry. The Minister of Defense had also left the country. My supervisor had experienced the same thing. Ghani’s immediate family and entourage had done the same.”

He stated, “The President never notified us he was leaving.” “They simply ran away and left me behind.”

“I have a (CCTV) recording (from the palace) that reveals that a person from the Afghan Bank brought a lot of money to Ghani before he departed,” he claimed. There were a lot of large bags, and they were quite heavy. “No, it wasn’t rice.”
