As well as the Indian student Harjot Singh, who was wounded by bullets in Ukraine, the gray C-17 Globemaster aircraft brought back 201 people and two dogs from the fighting-torn country on Monday, completing all evacuations through the Polish border. At 6.10 am it was in Hindon Airport Ghaziabad.

Under Operation Ganga, around 3,000 Indians were transported through Poland. An ambulance arrived as soon as the plane landed with eight other C-17s and a smaller white plane. Singh was taken directly to the Army’s Research and Referral hospital in Dhaula Kuan by ambulance.
V K Singh, a Union Minister, was assigned to the Poland border to ensure the safe evacuation of those Indians stranded in Ukraine who had reached the Poland border who also flew back from Poland on the last trip Embassy employees have been left at the border, according to Singh, in case more people arrive. Except for the north-eastern city of Sumy, Indians from most Ukrainian cities have now been removed.
