Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, warned voters not to let the state become like Kashmir, Kerala, or Bengal if they “make a mistake” ahead of the first phase of assembly elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader warned that “rioters who have been controlled are growing agitated” and “terrorists are continually expressing threats” in an almost six-minute video published from his personal Twitter account on election day.
He emphasised that the “double-engine” federal and state governments had “dedicated and committed” to “everything.”
“I feel compelled to share something with you that is on my mind. In the last five years, a lot of great things have happened. Beware! If you fail, the five years of hard work will be for naught. The chief minister warned that Uttar Pradesh would quickly become Kashmir, Kerala, and Bengal.
