Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, was forced to make an emergency landing on his helicopter on Sunday after hitting a bird, according to officials, PTI reported. “A bird hit the CM’s chopper after it took off from here (Varanasi) for Lucknow, following which it had to land here,” District Magistrate of Varanasi Kaushalraj Sharma said.
The Varanasi District Magistrate noted that the Chief Minister, who was in Varanasi for two days, thereafter flew to Lucknow. On Saturday, the Chief Minister visited Varanasi and attended a review meeting in addition to paying respects at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
