According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the novel coronavirus variant Omicron is spreading at an alarming rate all over the world. In total, 77 nations have confirmed cases of the extensively modified type.
However, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated at a press conference that it was most likely present in many others who had not been detected.
