Just hours later of confirming their first coronavirus case since the pandemic has begun North Korea fired three short-range ballistic missiles toward the sea on Thursday, South Korea’s military said, in the latest of a series of weapons demonstrations this year.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement the three missiles launched from the North’s capital region flew towards the waters off the country’s eastern coast on Thursday afternoon. South Korea’s military has heightened its readiness and supervision while maintaining close coordination with the United States.
Japan discovered the North Korean launches and Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida concerned for the safety he instructed the officials to do their extent to investigate the launch, ensure safety of aircraft and vessels in the area and take precautions and readiness for any possible emergencies, according to his office.
The nuclear-capable missiles that North Korean has tested recently could potentially reach to Japan in which Japan Prime Minister is alert with in securities. Could perhaps reach to South Korea or the mainland U.S.
