Suspect involved in IED Blast Police Bazar Identified; Lahkmen Rymbui
According to Lakhmen Rymbui, Minister of Education and Border Development, Home(Police)& District Council Affairs, Meghalaya, the suspects in the IED bomb that happened in the Police Bazar area on Sunday have been identified.
The Minister sent out a tweet, informing his readers of the situation.
“An IED detonation occurred at Police Bazar about 6.30 p.m. today. Suspects have been identified, an investigation is underway, and I am confident that the police will be able to apprehend all of the individuals involved. This act is strongly condemned, and peace shall be preserved at all costs”.
In one of Shillong’s largest business hubs, an IED detonation rocked the city last evening. However, there were no injuries because it was a weekend and there were few people in the area, although it is crowded on weekdays, and if this had happened on any of those days, the disaster would have been horrific.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Chief Minister also condemned the cowardly act, he further ensures that the perpetrators will be punished and peace prevails in the state.
